As shown in the Chamber of Secrets, a pixie is a tiny blue creature of eight inches tall who likes to cause mischief and problems. They love tricks and jokes. They're able to fly and enjoy lifting people up by their ears and depositing them on the tops of trees and buildings, showing their incredible strenght for creatures of their size. It could also steal things. Pixies could only communicate with other pixies; their voices were described as "so shrill it was like listening to a lot of arguing budgies".
